Five Best Halloween Costumes To Wear This 2016 Inspired By The Best Horror Films

It's Halloween once again and people from all over the world are probably busy coming up with the best Halloween costumes they can wear to stand out at their own Trick-or-Treat events. Originally used by the Celtics to blend in with the dead, Halloween costumes had been greatly commercialized by Americans until they have already become part of one of the most creative festivals that the whole world is celebrating every year.

While Oct. 31st had been a signal for the Irish to prepare for the coming of winter and death, modern day people celebrate the eve of Halloween in different, quirky ways to welcome the time of remembering their dead loved ones. And the famous Jack-o-Lantern that everyone carries around the streets today was originally carved out of turnips and potatoes. The early lanterns were then carved to look scary before Americans turned them into pumpkins that sometimes can be more adorable than creepy.

Over time, Halloween has indeed evolved into a community-based celebration that is now characterized by child-friendly activities like partying and trick-or-treating. And what fun it is to celebrate a Trick-o-Treat without the creepy but mostly creative costumes?

The malls are now overflowing with ready-to-wear Halloween costumes that range from superhero suits, fairies and mermaids, to thriller movie outfits. However, you also have a choice of coming up with your own mix-and-match of Halloween costume that might just be creepier than anything that you can buy from the department stores.

And what can you wear to scare everyone right through their bones? A costume that is based on the most terrifying horror films made.

Samara Morgan Of "The Ring"

You might look so simple in a dirty white dress and long, ratty wig, but you can level up the thrill by putting on some white makeup to make you look like a real undead. You also have the option of putting on pure grey contact lenses and you can go for a full Samara-effect by crawling around on your hands and feet.

Chucky Of "Child's Play"

Dolls seem to take their toll on today's horror films, but going classic might just be scarier than an Anabelle getup. Think of reliving Chucky and take the most childish ensemble you can find from your cabinet. Don't forget the signature jumper and the red wig. Also try to carry a baseball bat or a knife, and puff on some white powder on your face to make your costume more realistic.

And how you should act? Like you are ready to stab just about anyone who comes your way.

Toshiyo Of "The Grudge"

This original Japanese film has scared a lot of people to death and all because of the effect added up by the boy Toshiyo. Going Tohisyo this Halloween is just about the cheapest way of looking scary since you only have to paint your whole self with anything white. With a denim shortpants, black eyeliner, messy hair, and maybe a stiff cat, you might already look your best at the upcoming Trick-o-Treat.

Regan Of "The Exorcist"

Who will forget the mother of all horror films? "The Exorcist's" Regan can be easily achieved with a ragged sleeping dress, white, yellow and red face paints, and a pair of white contact lenses partnered with messy, stiff hair. Some yellow-greenish slime all over your mouth might also add to a more horrifying effect.

Valak Of "The Conjuring 2"

The world has been greatly terrified with the series of events in the box office hit "The Conjuring 2," and it's all because of the haunting demon who appeared in the form of a nun. Grab a combination of black and white cloth from a department store and stich them into a nun outfit. With white cream on the face, black lipstick and eyeliner, and a yellow pair of contact lenses, you might even win first price for your Valak-look.
