Samsung is rumored to be currently working on a new Galaxy smartphone which will be called as the Samsung Galaxy A5 model. The smartphone could be announced as soon as December, this year, 2016 or early next year, 2017. The Galaxy A5 model could be unveiled together with the smartphones such as Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7.
It's been more than 9 months ever since Samsung's last Galaxy A series was announced. Now we know that the Korea's giant tech company has some 2017 successors in the works, as we would expect. A Galaxy A5 smartphone model has been spotted over at Geekbench and the same model number has been spotted over on an Indian import list.
The new smartphone for the 2017 edition are the SM-A320F, SM-A520F, and SM-A720F for the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 respectively. It's the A520F (Galaxy A5) model that was spotted making its way into India for testing, and we'll probably see the other handsets follow soon enough.
Samsung Galaxy A5 has already received Wi-Fi certification and was recently spotted on a benchmarking site. This only means that some of its specifications were revealed and that it certainly won’t be long until the phone is released. The smartphone might feature 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Of course, that can be expandable with the use of a micro SD card. The rear camera capacity could reach 3,000mAh and the phone could run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Galaxy A5 could measure 145 x 71 x 7.8 mm, a bit thicker compared to the released last year’s model. The renders also show that the phone will come with a side-mounted speaker and USB Type-C ports.
Android Authority and @OnLeaks have just released a set of renders and a video portraying the upcoming Galaxy A5 (2017), and some design changes do stand out. The smartphone appears to have rounded edges, resembling those of the Galaxy S7.
