The Best But Cheapest PC Build for High-End Gaming

There is no better good news for a gamer than to find out that they are able to build a cheap yet ultra-capable PC for high-end gaming. Here's the good news for those who are looking for such information. These specs have been carefully researched by gaming experts to come up with a PC that will support high-end gaming including 4K resolution. The build totals to around $2K, which might not be cheap for some but it is reasonable enough considering the quality. Here are the specs:

For the CPU, choose an Intel Core i7-6700K, priced at $325, is the current leader when it comes to gaming. It has an 8MB of cache, eight threads, and 4GHz base frequency which can be amped up to 4.2GHz. Its K-Series SKU chips allows you to overclock it as well. For your CPU cooler, choose the Corsair Hydro Series H115i equipped with dual high-static pressure fans and a 20mm radiator.

If you want high-quality graphics for your games, then choose the GeForce GTX 1080. One might argue that the 2016 GTX Titan X of Nvidia is much better but it is also very expensive. You can get similar power at a cheaper price with GeForce.

Choose ASUS ROG Maximus VII Hero for your motherboard which is priced at $684. What you can get from it is an M.2/U.2 USB 3.1 support as well as the LGA 1151 socket support. Meanwhile, a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB RAM is a good complement for your motherboard. It clocks at 2400MHz in a quad-stick dual-channel configuration.

For the SSD and HDD, get Samsung's 500GB 960 EVO and Toshiba's X300 HDWE140XZSTA respectively. Samsung's EVO might not be as fast as its Pro series but it is still wickedly fast compared to others in the market. On the other hand, Toshiba's 4TB of storage space can last you a lifetime, well almost.

Finally, a Phantex Evolv case gives a modern and futuristic look to pack all of that power. You can choose from gray, silver, or black colors. And for your PSU, the SuperNOVA 850 P2 has 850 watts to support another extra GTX 1080.
