"Girl Meets World" renewal for season four has been one of the most talked about controversies among the Disney Channel shows. Its storyline for the upcoming season might be too mature for its audience, thus making it harder for the network to renew it.
"Girl Meets World" Storyline Getting Too Mature For Disney Channel Audience
The Disney series "Girl Meets World" is currently still running its third season, and while they are on a holiday break as of the moment, they are bound to air more episodes until 2017. However, there have been reports claiming that the network would no longer renew the series for season four amidst the plot allegedly getting more mature for the viewers. The fans have agreed to this and even pushed for the series to be renewed in a different network, free to tackle more mature storylines since the characters are getting into adulthood as well.
However, Disney Channel has been mum about the issue but the speculations have been on solid ground for now. The fans are merely waiting for announcements and results to their online petition in transferring "Girl Meets World" into a different network. Even though the series is bound to be aired in another network, it is still going to get the same number of viewers, regardless of where it airs. The fans of the show are merely excited to see their favourite characters growing up and venturing into more realistic situations.
Sabrina Carpenter To Focus On Singing Career; To No Longer Reprise Role In "Girl Meets World" If Renewed?
Aside from the network being quiet about the issue, there have also been speculations that one of the stars of "Girl Meets World," Sabrina Carpenter, will not be reprising her role if and when the series gets renewed for another season. The Disney actress is allegedly focusing on her music career and joining the music industry may hinder her from committing to still being a series regular. She recently launched her album, "Evolution" and even started a concert tour already.
"Girl Meets World" season three returns from their break on November 4, 2016, Friday.
