Kingdom Hearts III PS4 Exclusive HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix Announced; New Drive Form Revealed

Kingdom Hearts fans are in for a surprise treat as Square Enix released two new screenshots of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts II game during the Paris Games Week. The two screenshots revealed two new Guard forms. Furthermore, they also revealed an exclusive Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix.

The Remix will be bundled and will be released on the PlayStation console. The 1.5 Remix includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (HD Remastered Cinematics). Meanwhile, the 2.5 Remix has Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Slee Remix, and Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded.

The Kingdom Hearts III images were also posted on the game's official Twitter account. The images revealed a lot of what's to come to the upcoming game. The first one features a new Guard Form where the Keyblade seemed to transform into a shield. That image also showed what seems to be Mount Olympus. This makes a lot of sense since the previous Kingdom Hearts game allows Sora to explore the Underworld and Earth; thus, bringing the third sequel to Mount Olympus is the next most logical step to make.

The second image showed a new Drive Form but with some mysterious information saying that the Keyblade in the image belongs in a world that has not be revealed yet. The new attack form, which is shaped like a hammer, truly looks menacing and powerful.

Some Kingdom Hearts experts and observers say that if the word hammer in the description will be taken literally, it could mean that there will be a Thor-themed level where the Keyblade take a hammerlike transformation. They reasoned out, however, that if this speculation is indeed wrong, then it could just be an adaptation of a weapon that Maui uses in the upcoming Disney animated film called Moana.

On the other hand, there are those who say that the word 'hammer blade' can be just the game developers way of hiding more details of the upcoming game to keep it from spoilers.
