The long-rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 series of the Korean Company is slowly becoming a reality as the said model is about to be released in February of 2017.
Here's everything you need to know about the smartphone of Samsung that is likely to come in two variants, the first is Galaxy S8 followed by Galaxy S8 Edge. No exact name yet coming from the maker and distributor, but based on the previous models, these might be legit.
Slated to arrive early next year, Samsung's VP of Mobile Lee Kyeong-tae said the revamped S8 device will feature a "slick design and an improved camera, as well as an enhanced artificial intelligence service," the WSJ reports.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Features
Samsung suppliers are reportedly filling orders for dual-lens cameras that take DSLR-like photos in terms of quality. For the Galaxy S8, Samsung might use its own components just like in S7 series with higher megapixels and brighter lenses. It is unknown whether Samsung will be using all-in-one dual cameras or separated dual cameras. But sure to have great quality images after taking a picture.
Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset will make its way into the Galaxy S8 internationally and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset within the U.S. The Exynos 8895 reportedly has a 3GHz maximum speed and a 70% improvement in image processing efficiency compared to its predecessor, according to PhoneArena.
For the display, according to the University Herald, Samsung is likely to introduce phones with an Edge display and regular flagship that will come in two sizes - 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is reportedly not going to have a 3.5mm headphone jack just like Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. A USB-C port is expected to be used for wired headphones and charging.
Maybe, the most notable added features of Galaxy S8 is the Siri-like voice assistant called Viv AI, which has replaced Samsung's S Voice. This is after Samsung acquired the company Viv who contracted by Apple for the creation of Siri.
