Microsoft Might Want You To Wait For 4K "Project Scorpio": Specs, Release, Details

Microsoft may subtly be suggesting that you should wait for Project Scorpio instead of splurging on Sony's November-bound PlayStation 4 Pro. As you know it, the PS4 Pro will be released in a few weeks' time and Microsoft's Project Scorpio is still a year away from being launched. With such a huge time interval between the competing brands, the latter product has to do something to encourage gamers to hold back their purchase. While Xbox says they aren't worried about competition, it's still clear that they want fans to get more excited for Project Scorpio.

Microsoft Continues To Tease Project Scorpio

As per Tech Times, Microsoft updated their webpage to keep the Project Scorpio hype in the press. The company provided a landing page that shows a screenshot of Project Scorpio's specification. All of which were already revealed in the E3 2016 so no shocking news have been added in there. It was simply a reminder that on the 2017 holidays, the Project Scorpio will be within your reach.

Microsoft Project Scorpio News

With Microsoft having an entire year to develop the Project Scorpio at its finest, there's a good chance that the console will be more powerful than its competitions. Needless to say, since the said console is still 2017-bound, the most powerful console option for gamers right now is still the PlayStation 4 Pro. So even though the company claims that the Project Scorpio is the "most powerful console ever", this year will still be dominated by 2016 consoles.

Microsoft Project Scorpio Specs

As per the company's web page, the Project Scorpio offers True 4K Gaming, 6 Teraflops of power, 8 CPU cores and 320 GB/s Memory bandwidth. The company also says that this is perfectly compatible with all Xbox One accessories and games. The Xbox team's video promotion says that this project is pretty much their answer to all of their followers' feedback so they made it a combination of power, choice and community. Their teaser also claims that the Project Scorpio is a console with no limitations and no bounderies.
