Capcom, developer of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard released another trailer showing what could be a revamped combat mechanic. Going by the teaser, players can also expect to encounter a seemingly immortal enemy. If these will be part of the next sequel, then players are in for a troubling yet exciting new game.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Offers New Immortal Enemy?
The latest trailer of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard titled "Immortal" has been released by Capcom recently. The video shows the main character Ethan up against the villain, Jack Baker. As a natural reaction, Ethan promptly riddles the character with bullets.
Although Jack fell down, it seems that Ethan has an immortal at his hands. It was noted that the villain does not show any pain. Even after being shot multiple times, he still managed to stand back up and go after the Resident Evil 7 main character.
In a report on Game Spot, Jack Baker will sneak up on the player when he gets the chance. He will act as if the player has won but his plan is to attack the player as he passes by. "Now you are gonna get it," Jack says as he stands up.
It is not the first time that a Resident Evil title had an immortal enemy. Back in Resident Evil 3, the fans have a hard time killing Nemesis, but they have managed to slow him down and beat him up.
Can Resident Evil 7 Exceed Dead Rising 4's Sales?
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Capcom released a marketing strategy, detailing their new aggressive approach. The strategy is about having an offensive tactic in order to globally conquer the gaming world by selling old and new game titles.
Capcom wanted Resident Evil 7: Biohazard to have four million copies sold more than two million copies of Dead Rising 4 and Monster Hunter XX that will be available in December.
The figures they set for Resident Evil 7 shows their confidence, but as of now, it is unknown if they will be able to hit four million copies. Though it will be interesting to see how they will market the title in order to reach that goal.
Resident Evil 7 is expected to be available on Jan. 24, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will be released in Europe at the same date, but it will launch in Japan two days later on Jan. 26, 2017.
