Battlefield 1 Hardcore Mode Confirmed, Classic Mode on DICE's 'To-do List'

Earlier today, DICE producer Ali Hassoon confirmed the rumors of a Hardcore game mode that is under development for their latest first-person shooter game Battlefield 1. Hassoon also said that a 'classic mode' will also happen, saying that it is in the pipelines.

Battlefield 1 Upcoming Update Information

Prior to the release of the game, rumors about the Hardcore mode being in the game has already spread. It is a challenging option for Battlefield games where game settings are altered to provide more difficulty and to hone the player's skills.

Ali Hassoon confirmed the rumor by announcing some of the initial plans for the game mode. According to a report from GamingBolt, the Hardcore mode will retain health values at 100 percent and instead increase damage to 200 percent. The report notes that this could still be changed.

In PlayStation's article, Hassoon was asked about the chances of creating a classic mode, to which he responded with "It's coming down the line. It's in our to do list."

Hassoon also noted that the compass could return, but did not give an exact date for the updates. He hinted that the updates will be arriving soon.

Reception on Battlefield 1's Release

Battlefield 1 was released on Oct. 21 and it is nothing short of successful. The game garnered praises from gamers and critics alike for its stunning graphics and exhilarating gameplay. Forbes even went on to say that it is "one of the most jaw-dropping, gorgeous video games ever made." It also said that the graphics is so good, that one can pick "whatever hyperbolic word you can find to describe looks and it will apply to Battlefield 1." For good reason too, as the game seemingly lightened the gruesome reality that transpired during the World War One.

To reciprocate the support shown by players, DICE promised that Battlefield 1 will be updated in the future, with various option modes and feedback supports to even communicate better with the people.
