DJI Drones To Buy This 2016: DJI Mavic Pro, DJI Phantom 4, DJI Phantom 3 Drones

DJI is the most popular name when it comes to drones. There might already be a bunch of drone manufacturers in the market right now, but not everyone has "perfected" drone making as much as DJI. Past DJI drones may have flaws here and there, but overtime, it looks like the company has got everything figured out. With their recent DJI Mavic Pro release, it actually seems like the company has finally unveiled a flawless drone for everyone to enjoy. Here's our list of great DJI drones to buy this year.

DJI Phantom 3 (Professional, Advanced, Standard, 4K)

As per DJI's page, the DJI Phantom 3 comes in multiple models. There's the DJI Phantom 3 Professional, DJI Phantom 3 Advanced, DJI Phantom 3 Standard and DJI Phantom 3 4K. The Phantom 3 Advanced boasts of its GPS-assisted hover, vision positioning system, auto flight logs, and intelligent battery.

The Phantom 3 Professional on the other hand, also has the Phantom 3 Adv's GPS-assisted hover, vision positioning system, flight logs and intelligent battery. However, it also boasts of its main controller that analyzes all flying data that tell your drone how to "behave" at every given moment. The return-to-home function of the Phantom 3 Professional is also a great addition to the drone.

The Phantom 3 Standard, like the other DJI drones, is also very intelligent. Its Automatic Flight Assistant trait allows you to fly it without worries, knowing that your drone can return to you in one press of a button. It basically hovers in place while on air until you command it to move. It can also understand limits so when it reaches your chosen boundary, it automatically stops moving forward. Its live GPS, LED light indicators and sufficient battery life are just some of the great add-ons the Phantom 3 Standard has.

The Phantom 3 4K is just as intelligent. It comes with vision positioning for indoor flying, allowing you to fly your drone at a lower level. It is also able to detect patterns and identify its own position. Thus, allowing it to move accurately depending on its surroundings.

DJI Phantom 4

The DJI Phantom 4 is pretty much proud of its Precision Hovering feature. It is an advanced positioning system that makes the drone easy and safe to fly. It also allows the Phantom 4 to do an instant brake and just hover when you release the joystick controls.

It's obvious that the Phantom 4's goal is to make flying easier even for first timers. This is pretty much indicated by its Tap To Fly feature where you can just double tap to fly your drone. There is also an obstacle sensor that helps your drone avoid getting into collisions. The Visual Tracking, Sport Mode and extended flight time are just some of the other relevant features the Phantom 4 has.

DJI Mavic Pro

DJI's latest release marks the company's biggest masterpiece. The DJI Mavic pro carries all the smart features that its company has been known for. However, on top of that, the Mavic Pro is also given the portability that most drones do not have. It is actually lightweight, easy to store, and pretty much the most intelligent drone on the market.

As per a CNET review, the DJI Mavic Pro is small in size but performs arguably better than the Phantom 4. It might be super small when folded and stored but it actually performs like a beast. It is controllable even for up to 7km and it can also be livestreamed to your chosen social media platforms through DJI's app. Furthermore, the DJI Mavic Pro also carries all the important drone traits like obstacle avoidance, optical sensors, subject tracking, sport mode, tripod mode and precision landing. On top of these, the DJI Mavic Pro offers the best quality imagery.
