Remastered versions of the game are commonplace these days, especially of popular games. Another one to jump the bandwagon of remasters is Skyrim. Although the PC version had much better visuals compared to its console versions in 2011, it's not really inferior. However, the remastered version offers much better visuals in all platforms feeling like a hazy film was lifted. Aside from the visuals, there are more reasons why Skyrim is worth revisiting once more.
If you come for the visual upgrade happening to the remastered version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, you will just be disappointed. Not that it's not something to commend for. Although the changes are noticeable, it is still not as fine as the visuals of the modern games.
On one hand, one of the main reasons what's the best excuse to revisit Skyrim is it's shorter loading time compared to before. One of the annoying things before was that a simple action, like entering a dungeon or a shop would take the screen to load longer. The remastered version, however, only takes a quarter of an inch to load, which is a much better improvement than the visuals.
Another welcome improvement is that there were few glitches compared to before. Although there are still characters that clip through the objects, there are no more floating mammoths and broken objectives. The other player will also not get in your way during combats.
Skyrim Special Edition also have some special mods with it and three major DLC packs which is a very big progress, all of which are available in the console version. If ever you haven't tried Skyrim before, now is the best time to do it. On the other hand, if you have played Skyrim before, it's time to revisit Tamriel again and experience the awesome environment and exhilaration of the game.
