Perhaps one of the most talked about manga of all time is "Hunter X Hunter." The franchise has become very successful that many fans are eager to see new chapters after the previous ones. However, much to fans' dismay, the hit animated series has been put to multiple breaks in the past, all for one reason - creator Yoshihiro Togashi's health condition.
It was said that Yoshihiro Togashi has been suffering from recurring back pains that have gotten worse over the years. The condition was so bad that his performance at work was greatly affected. It has caused major delays in production, thus leaving fans hanging with "Hunter X Hunter" Chapter 361.
However, a new photo that surfaced online recently sparked hope to what seems to be a gloomy fate for the beloved manga. During the 40th anniversary celebration and conclusion of Osamu Akimoto's "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo" also known as "Kochikame," famous manga creators gathered to commemorate the police comedy manga's success. In attendance were Hisashi Eguchi(Stop! Hibari-kun), Kyosuke Usuta (Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san),Yudetamago (Kinnikuman), Masanori Morita(Rookies), Shinji Hiramatsu (Black Angels), Kontaro (Kaze ni Kiite Kure), and lo and behold, the supposedly sick Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter X Hunter).

It was artist Hisahi Eguchi who shared the said group photo. It was pretty noticeable that Yoshihiro Togashi seems healthy and in high spirits. This is amidst his claims of recurring back pains which, as we all know, caused a major drawback in the production of "Hunter X Hunter."
Fans were somehow skeptical after seeing the said photo. There were even some who went as far as assuming that Yoshihiro Togashi has been faking his condition just so he can avoid working. But of course, there were also optimistic fans who took it as a positive sign.
On the other hand, it has been reported that about three months ago, one of the editors in Shonen JUMP, who happens to be really close with the "Hunter X Hunter" creator, revealed that the latest hiatus will be a short one compared to previous breaks. He also revealed that Yoshihiro Togashi has already finished 24 chapters over the past couple of years and has published 11 of them so far. In fact, it was speculated that the rest of the hiatus might be used for editing and creating other miscellaneous artworks for the latest "Hunter X Hunter" installment.
The source also noted that Yoshihiro Togashi has been working really hard not to disappoint his loyal supporters. In addition, the said 24 chapters were believed to be the best ones in the history of "Hunter X Hunter." If that will be the case, fans are sure in for a treat. The long wait will probably worth it after all.
However, there has been no concrete confirmation about the said details. The fate of "Hunter X Hunter" remains unclear and only lies in Yoshihiro Togashi's hands. For now, fans can relive some of the funny moments of the hit animated series in the video below.
