Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 features five races, which players have to choose from. Three of the races also has two genders: male and female. There are different perks unique to each race and it will greatly affect the overall achievements and experience of the game.
Being a Saiyan, for example, would open up tons of opportunities to power up. Only Saiyans can use the all the Super Saiyan transformations. So, choosing a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 race should be carefully thought out. Let's discuss each race.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Majin Race
The incredibly fluffy and seemingly innocent Majin Boo is of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Majin race. Players can choose to be one and in turn, be pink. Choosing either male or female would grant you a character with high defense. However, this race has slow stamina recovery times. Even so, a maxed out stamina would grant even higher defense.
A male Majin has more health points, allowing it to withstand more attacks than a female. On the other hand, a female Majin would have faster movement, allowing it to avoid critical attacks at higher success rates.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Saiyan Race
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Saiyan race is one of the most popular, mainly because our own Goku is one. They are stronger in terms of attack, but they have lower health. As the health points go down, though, their attack power increases. Most importantly, all their stats increase when they are KO'd and revived within a match.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, melee attacks are a male Saiyan's forte, as well as longer buffs. Their disadvantage is that their Super attacks are not as powerful. Meanwhile, females have higher Stamina and Ki recovery, but they have lower health.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Earthling Race
Want to play safe? Then go for Earthling. Their offense and defense stats are balanced, which can be both an advantage and disadvantage. What's nice about them is that their Ki automatically charges while other races need to enter a battle to do so. Their attack power also increases when Ki is maxed.
The only difference between the male and female Earthling in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is that the former is more specialized in Strike Supers while the latter is great at Ki Blast Supers. In every other aspect, they have the same stats.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Namekian Race
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Namekian race have lower attack power than the other races, but they have higher health. A big plus is that their stamina recovers faster and health is regenerated when low. Namekian also uses items more effectively. There are no genders in this race.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide: Frieza Race
If you are feeling a little villain-y, choose the Frieza race. The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 character is not less frightening than the manga/anime villain, but their greatest advantage is their speed. As the character description reads, "This race can overpower enemies with their fast movement."
They have lower health, but as it goes down, their movements go faster. The Frieza Race's stamina can also recover while fighting, so there's that nice perk. There are no genders in this race, too.
Made up your mind yet? Remember that there are unique transformations for each race, so once you go Majin, you can't go Super Saiyan. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
