Back in November 2012, the Nexus 4 smartphone from LG and Google was equipped with the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean upgrade, and latest rumors have it that the most recent version of the Android Jelly Bean has already made it to Google phones (read Nexus). According to several reports, the Nexus 4 is apparently receiving an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software upgrade in select countries such as Brazil and Malaysia.
"Google hasn't yet officially announced the incremental update, but some users in Brazil and Malaysia are reporting that Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is showing up on their devices. The first reports mention a 1,000-unit batch of Nexus 4s shipping out in Brazil, and are said to be making their way to Brazilian mobile carriers this month," a Slash Gear report said.
However, given the fact that Google is yet to publish an official changelog for this update, it is highly speculated that the new version will be nothing more than just bug-fixes. According to a report on Android Community, a 1,000 unit batch of the Nexus 4 running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean has already been shipped out of a Brazilian factory and will reach mobile carriers in Brazil later this month.
Malaysian site Lowyat.net claimed that it received an 8GB review unit of the Nexus 4 running 4.2.2. The report said the update does not include "significant changes" from Android 4.2.1. It is speculated that the device could be a developer version, as the build number contained the word "dev-keys" at the end. However, the report appeared to be taken out of the website after a while.
