"Glee" alum Mark Salling has saved himself a heap of trouble as he has been reported to avoid facing rape charges filed against him. But his legal woes are still not over as he is still set to face child pornography charges.
Fans of the hit musical show were stunned when Salling was arrested last December for possession of child pornography. Some of the videos he was allegedly hoarding included photos and videos of girls as young as 12, engaging in pornographic situations.
If that was not bad enough, his fall from grace suddenly took serious new depths when his ex-girlfriend Roxanne accused Mark Salling of rape. The two parties eventually settled for 2.7 million dollars and everything was dropped.
Misfortune seems to follow the young actor as he is now being investigated for another rape case, this time, from a woman who used to date Salling.
According to the woman's complaint, the two agreed to consensual sex but she changed her mind at the last minute. But even when she tried to say no to the actor, he still forced himself upon her. The case was filed four years after the incident as the accuser said that she had to muster enough courage before she could do it.
According to E! News, Salling might get a little breathing room from all his troubles as the actor won't get charged for the rape due to insufficient evidence. However, the District Attorney also warned that if more evidence suddenly surfaces, then the case could be reopened.
Mark Salling faces a pretty hefty consequence if the allegations against him are proven. If convicted of the child pornography charges, the 34-year old actor could be facing a minimum of five years in prison. Worse is if he gets the maximum which could net him a 20-year sentence.
