The Last of Us is widely known as one of the best games so far. This time, it gets even cooler with a new patch that allows it to run in 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro hardware. It also adds HDR into the mix, thanks to the most recent PS4 firmware update. It is something every PS4 owner can look forward to.
The patch that comes in at 355.6MB also adds improved stereo quality. Naughty Dog previously showed off The Last of Us Remastered on the PS4 Pro, in HDR, last September during the console's reveal event.
With the HDR feature, the environment and textures in The Last Of Us becomes much richer and crisper compared to the visuals of the current game. Furthermore, the depth and range of colors can be widely recognizable giving the game a more realistic feel.
Game Rant suggests that with the PlayStation 4 Pro being released soon, the developers added an update that enables the game to sport HDR capabilities and full console support for PS4 Pro. The Last Of Us Remastered Version can be downloaded on PS4 consoles. However, The Uncharted 4: A Thief's End won't be getting any HDR updates this time.
According to Polygon, Naughty Dog's recent title reveal might officially increase its sales once the upgraded Sony console comes out the market. Moreover, with new titles coming such as the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare coming out around the launch of the PS4 Pro, it might considerably lessen the expected sales of The Last Of Us Remastered.
The PS4 Pro hits the market on Nov. 10 at $400. It will sport a 1TB hard drive with impressive 4K and HDR features along with doubled GPU power and boosted CPU clock speed.
