'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Latest News & Spoilers: Survey Corps Discovers Titans' Roots; 25 Episodes In The Works?

While there has been plenty of information about the future airing of "Attack on Titan" season 2, most of these have remained unconfirmed. Latest reports, on the other hand, pointed out that the much-anticipated sequel of the animated series will come with 25 episodes.

"Attack On Titan" Season 2 To Feature 25 Episodes?

"Attack on Titan" season 2 latest rumors revealed that 25 episodes will be running to cover the remaining 36 chapters. It is said to be divided into two arcs, "The Uprising" and "Clash of the Titans," that trace back to Eren Yeager's roots. All these will happen if showrunners will decide to derive the entire plot of the season from the original franchise.

In the meantime, many fans continue to wonder how the basement of Dr. Yeager will bring twist and turns in the forthcoming title. According to recent reports, the story of the mysterious basement of Dr. Yeager will unfold the history of the Titans by and by. Along with that runs the storyline of Eren's discovery that his half-brother has been kept in the dungeon for such a long time. Unfortunately though, there's not a family reunion happening. Instead, he will be her greatest enemy this season.

As Eren ventures into this new endeavor, it has been spoiled that Survey Corps after will be gunning for the truth to be revealed behind every Titan's identity after it discovers its roots. With a little amount of hint that Survey Corps might attack his father, Eren will bury this secret to himself. As the story progresses, Eren will find out that his father's alter ego is a Titan. Although he might not be vicious as the other, Survey Corps will consider him a threat and might set out to take down his father. Later in the story, Eren and Mikasa will be against each other as Titan shifters. Krista, meanwhile, is set to have herself enlisted with Survey Corps.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is slated to be released in 2017.
