A new trailer has left many fans all the more excited with Phil Lord and Chris Miller's animation mega-hit The LEGO Movie, and everything is once more impressive; with Will Arnett backsliding to voice the Caped Crusader, even taking the respite for a jab about Warner Bros.' own epic hero clash.
This spin-off out of The LEGO Movie will make use and mention of the fact that it's in a LEGO-based world. As seen in the trailer, Batman at one point says "Initialize master builder" using vocabulary from the first movie as they jointly build a crazy new vehicle for itself.
The Tone Of The Trailer Uses Same Signature LEGO Movie Humor As "Snake Clowns," A Bat-Zeppelin And Bat-Kayak With Reference To Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Will Arnett avenge his starring role from The LEGO Movie as the voice of Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis stars as The Joker; Michael Cera as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes as Alfred.
The film is directed by Chris McKay, and produced by Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The script written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, with extra screenplay material by Jared Stern & John Whittington, based on LEGO Construction Toys, in coalition with LEGO System AS. Chris McKay also serves as an executive producer, alongside Ryan Harris.
A Warner Bros. Pictures production, The LEGO Batman Movie will open in cinema next year on February 10, 2017. It's one of several LEGO movies the production house is working on after the success of The LEGO Movie, with a LEGO Ninjago Movie also due out next year, and The LEGO Movie Sequel planned for 2019.
Truly, cameos played a major part on the upcoming animation. "We're nothing but exhaustive about the cameos and other characters that try to enter Batman's life," director Chris McKay has stated, who worked as animation director for The LEGO Movie; which optimistically spells comebacks by Super Friends Superman (Channing Tatum), Green Lantern (Jonah Hill), and Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders).
