“Rick and Morty” season 3 is ready for a grand premiere anytime soon!
Dan Guterman, the animated sitcom’s writer had the official confirmation that he’s “done” with the third installment of the famous series. His recent tweets reveal the progress of the production of the highly anticipated season.
Despite showrunner Dan Harmon’s pledge that the third season of the show will air by late 2016, rumors have it that it is impossible since the year is nearing its end.
"I think Season 3 is-we're targeting around the end of this year," Harmon said during the Magic City Comic-Con.
Meanwhile, the strong followers of the crazy adventures of “Rick and Morty” can expect a possible return of other hilarious cast members. Harmon, in a recent reddit AMA validated Keith David’s reprising his role as president of the US and another guest voice in Joel McHale.
In reference to Bird Person’s reappearance (despite his killing in the previous season) Harmon teases, “It has been a challenging season for Bird Person. But you never know...”
Should the feathery character make a cameo at the very least, his presence will surely be a blast of comedic brilliance.
Other major storylines to look forward to is the ugly separation of Morty’s parents and the thrilling escape of Rick from Galactic Federation Prison. The couple is said to embroil in various problems in their marriage and Beth is presumed to ask Meeseeks for a date. On his end, Rick attempts to fearlessly break out from the secured jail either by himself or with a help from a mysterious character(s).
It looks like the holidays will be merrier with “Rick and Morty” season 3 on tv screens, right?
Soon, real soon.
