Finally, Overwatch has a new hero -- Sombra, that is. Although her arrival at BlizzCon isn't really a big surprise, it's safe to say that the ARG detectives can now rest. Blizzard Entertainment, after a few hiccups, has unveiled the deadly hacker character. And as expected, her introduction was made through an animated short called Infiltration.
Based on short clips found in the official Overwatch site, one can say that Sombra is a hero heavily equipped for offense. And with the skill sets she has, it's as if it's possible for her to bring a whole team down. Either that, her respective abilities are worth investigating.
First off is the Sombra's Machine Pistol in Overwatch. Obviously, this weapon allows her to shoot enemies at a short range. Although it might not have a long range distance akin to Widowmaker (who, of course, is a sniper), she has other skills that can hit opponents from a couple of meters away.
Second of the list of the Overwatch hero's skills is Hack. Well, this isn't really a new term in the community. The word has since been connected to the character, giving players an idea about her capabilities. As the name suggests, Sombra has the capability to infiltrate her enemies so as to, well, take their lives away. Moreover, those deadly or restorative items tend to be useless when she uses this skill.
Third on the list is something that'll interest Overwatch players. It's called Thermoptic Camo, giving Sombra the ability to go invisible. But not just that, while unseen, she can move fast. She'll remain in such state until she decides to engage in battle (using active skills) or takes damage.
Translocator -- the fourth one -- is somewhat similar to any teleportation skills Overwatch players will see from other characters. Sombra basically throws a special item or device on the ground. And through it, she'll gain a sort of waypoint where she can return with ease.
As for Sombra's ultimate ability in Overwatch, it's deemed as the EMP. It's where she'll use an electromagnetic energy so as to disarm any defending enemies. Think of it as a massive hack or something. To understand more about the aforesaid her, please see the video posted below.
What are your thoughts on the new Overwatch hero Sombra? Are you excited to see her hacking shenanigans in the game?
