Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm will have some sort of crossover soon. That is Overwatch character Genji will have a new skin but it is unlockable when you play Heroes of the Storm. This was announced during the recent BlizzCon 2016 event. Aside from that, they will also include an Overwatch character to fight alongside the other heroes in the game.
Blizzard said that players can avail of the special skin for Genji after completing 15 games of Heroes of the Storm. The special skin will give Genji a demon mask to complete his ninja costume. Zarya, on the other hand, will make a special appearance in Heroes of the Storm as a playable character who will fight side by side with the other heroes.
Zarya is just one of the Overwatch character added in the MOBA universe and more will be added in weeks to come. Before Zarya joined the Heroes of the Storm in August, the unofficial Overwatch mascot Tracer first joined the game in April, which was ahead of its May launch. The Overwatch - Heroes of the Storm crossover is part of Blizzard's plan to expand its MOBA franchise.
Aside from the Overwatch characters, Blizzard also introduced two playable World of Warcraft characters in Heroes of the Storm - Ragnaros and Varian Wrynn. These additions are part of the new content update Blizzard has planned for the game. The new characters will debut on Heroes of the Storm in December; however, they are available for testing next week.
With these new additions, more and more fans are suggesting which Overwatch character should be added to Heroes of the Storm. Three characters who have the biggest votes to join the crossover are Zenyatta, Reinhardt, and Symmetra. While the least voted are Bastion, Torbjorn, Roadhog, and Widowmaker.
