"This Is Us" is only in its sixth episode but NBC's family drama already captured the hearts of its audience. The fifth episode had a surprising revelation that broke the hearts of numerous viewers - the family's patriarch Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) is already dead. The cast teased that there would be more tear-jerking moments to come as showrunners plan to show how Daddy Pearson died. Meanwhile, reports revealed that casting for 15-year-olds to play Kate, Kevin, and Randall is already ongoing.
"This Is Us" Episode 7 Cancelation
"This Is Us" is becoming quite exciting with the recent turn of events. Unfortunately, there would be no new episode for the family drama on Tuesday, Nov. 8 due to the election coverage. Episode 7 which is entitled "The Best Washing Machine in the World" is scheduled to air on Nov. 15. This delay would just be a one-off deal unless another important coverage takes over the show's timeslot.
Justin Hartley's Temporary Absence
"This Is Us" owes its success to its great cast, and Justin Hartley who plays Kevin is one of the principal characters in the drama. However, there has been news that he will be back on his old soap opera "The Young and the Restless" as Adam Newman. Fortunately, it has been made clear by some reports that he already filmed extra scenes prior to his departure. Even if the daytime soap requests Hartley to shoot additional scenes, the actor has enough room in his schedule to accomodate both. Y&R could also tape Hartley's scenes during the season break for "This Is Us" to avoid any scheduling conflicts.
While it is also true that there has been a casting call for a 15-year-old Kevin, this would just be part of the flashbacks. As revealed in the fifth episode, Jack is dead and Kevin's younger self will be an essential part of the episode revealing how their father died. There's no truth that Hartley will be absent from "This Is Us" and he remains to be a huge part of the show. Despite his scheduled appearance in his old soap, he would not be missing any episodes of "This Is Us" since filming for any scene he might have left in "Y&R" can be scheduled around the break for the drama's first season.
