The first raid quest in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has just started and it resulted in a lot of frustration by players due to the fact that the raid boss can instantly wipe out the entire raid in a single attack. Today, we'll be talking about how you can easily avoid the "Energy Buzz Saw" attack that the boss casts which deals fatal damage on everyone that it hits.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Raid Tips And Strategy
This guide is not limited to the current raid only but also applies to any existing expert missions. One thing to note is that, you have two ways to survive throughout the entire raid and that is: using Super Guard or simply using Step Vanish to dodge the mysterious Energy Buzz Saw attack.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Super Guard
Super Guard can be very effective in a lot of cases but in the current raid quest, you need to sustain your HP whilst still maintaining damage to the boss which makes the use of Super Guard to be a lot disadvantageous than the simple Step Vanish. The upside of this skill however, is that you have no worries of messing up when the skill is active. Just remember that you need to have sufficient distance from the boss to avoid messing the timing of the skill.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Step Vanish
The most effective way to deal damage while dodging the fatal Energy Buzz Saw attack is to use the basic Step Vanish ability which can be performed by pressing L2 and X simultaneously while moving with your Left Joy Stick. Take note that although it may sound easy but there's a lot of rooms for error when performing this move.
First, you need to time it perfectly with the boss' attack animation. Once the boss raises its arms to perform the attack, immediately perform the side step vanish to avoid getting hit by the fatal attack. Note that the boss can cast its deadly ability while you're halfway casting your long-range Ki blasts; making the dodge extremely harder to time.
The best method to engage the boss is to maintain distance and be wary with your Ki blasts. Try to be alert when spamming your abilities in order for you to dodge or block the deadly attack at the right moment. If you're not comfortable in using the Step Vanish then you can always use the Super Guard to nullify the damage from the boss. Just be sure to save enough Ki in order to give the ability a long up-time.
