Left 4 Dead 3 Remains Unclear; Unfinished Campaign Of The First Game Released For Free

It has been a while since the popular zombie shooter game Left 4 Dead from developer Turtle Rock received an update. Following the release of Left 4 Dead 2 for about a year ago, fans were expecting another sequel to arrive any time soon. However, it seems like the details of the previously rumored Left 4 Dead 3 remains unclear until now. Apparently, Left 4 Dead fans might relive the hype as it was announced earlier that a new additional content has been added to the game.

According to the report from PC Gamer, developer Turtle Rock has released its final, yet unfinished campaign map for Left 4 Dead. The new campaign map is entitled "Dam It" which is now downloadable online. Co-founder Chris Ashton posted the link on Turtle Rock's forum stating "just finish putting the Dam campaign into L4D add-on." He also added that the map is still unstable due to some missing features but it is playable from beginning to end. In addition, the map also includes two standalone survival maps that were previously unreleased.

Based on the reports from Gamespot, "Dam It" stitches Dead Air and Blood Harvest campaign maps. You can download the map here for free. Additionally, the map can be installed either automatically or manually. For automatic installation, unzip .vpk file and double click to launch. On the other hand, unzip the .vpk file and copy to Left 4 Dead 'addons' folder for manual installation.

Since the map is still unstable, there are several known issues that players should be aware while playing. It was noted that fire, smoke and explosions do not generate panic events in the storage place. Zombies do not crawl in the orchard all the time. Farm house zombies do not brood in the far of the woods. Covered bridge remains even with explosions while the burned forest area is missing wandering fires.

Meanwhile Turtle Rock's latest game, Evolve, which the studio has halted the operation last month has its servers still up, however, it is now operated by 2K Games.
