‘’Stranger Things” Season 2 cast has just been revealed showing who is back and who is not. Meanwhile, the writers of the Netflix series have taken the liberty to spoil some things for fans, making them more eager to see the new installment.
The first official cast photo for the second season of “Stranger Things” has just been released when the show as well as star, Millie Brown posted the photo on their Twitter accounts. The photo and the caption were posted and written upside down giving out a huge spin at what the show is all about. The photo revealed the cast who fans will surely be seeing again in the show.
The upside caption on the show’s official account goes, “Back in production. See you next year. #strangerthings”. It revealed that the four friends, as well as Eleven, are coming back in “Stranger Things” Season 2. Brown, who plays Eleven, is seen sitting in the center between Charlie Heaton and Noah Schnapp.
Brown has posted the following caption on her Twitter account, “It’s official! #011 is back for Season 2 of Stranger Things! Thanks so much to the amazing Duffer brothers for bringing El back!” The young star is evidently psyched to reprise her role in the said Netflix series.
The photo hinted that the new season of “Stranger Things” will be showing a lot more of the mysterious upside down world. The writers of the said series have recently posted that the new series will mostly be filmed upside down stating, "Cooler heads prevail - season 2 will be streamed right-side-up. But if anyone wants to watch in a headstand, that's their prerogative."
It also probably confirmed that Barbara Hollan, also known as Barb, is not coming back. Shannon Purser, who portrayed the said character, is noticeably absent in the photo. Creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer have promised fans though that Barb will be given the justice that she deserves.
Meanwhile, though not in the photo, David Harbour will also be returning in “Stranger Things” Season 2 to reprise his role as Sheriff Jim Hopper. It has been confirmed as well that Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink, who are sitting on either end of the table as shown in the photo, will be debuting their characters in the show and will be regulars. They will be playing the roles of siblings—Sink as Max, a tough tomboy, and Montgomery as Max’s older brother.
“Stranger Things” Season 2 has already started production and has released that it will be airing nine episodes in the new installment. It has already revealed the titles of each episode, giving fans a peek of what to expect from the series. The second season is set to air on Netflix sometime in 2017.
