Not only is it a lighter financial commitment, beginners' cameras are also easier to work with. If you're a Nikon fan, here are some of the most affordable Nikon DSLRs you can choose from.

Nikon D3300

The Nikon D3300 is last season's DSLR which means that you can snag it at a better deal this year. Tech Radar says that the Nikon D3300 is priced at around $369 and it is still a top pick despite being an older model. Not only is it very affordable, it also doesn't disappoint when it comes to image quality. Furthermore, its Guide Mode is actually a clever learning tool for beginners who need real time explanations of camera features.

Nikon D5500

For just around $700, you can get a good 24.2 MP DSLR camera with high-res sensor, touchscreen control, and WiFi connectivity. The Nikon D5500 belong to the higher end of entry-level DSLRs which means that it is more high-tech than cameras from the D3000 series. You can also expect a lot from the Nikon D5500 when it comes to image quality.

Nikon D5300

However, if you're all for value for money, the D3300 is still a good buy despite it being replaced with a new model.

Nikon D7200

The most expensive in this list, the Nikon D7200 has a starting price of $999.95 in Nikon's website. It is a big improvement over the D7100 as the new model fixed all the complaints received by the earlier model. The D7200 offers superb imagery, amazing performance and on top of that, a sturdy build. If you want a less expensive option, the Nikon D7100 will save you a couple hundred dollars. However, the D7200 has NFC and WiFi connectivity. It also has super autofocus even in dark settings.
