Following the announcement of Scott Cawthon that Custom Night DLC is coming very soon on Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, there have been no concrete details as to what the downloadable content would bring. However, latest reports were able to link the game's first DLC to a possible game lore. Here's what we know so far.
Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location Custom Night DLC
Game creator Scott Cawthon already confirmed late last month that a major update for Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location will be rolled out soon. The said update will carry the Custom Night DLC. Although there were already initial speculations as to what fans can expect from the upcoming content, recent reports pinpointed the possibility that the true origin of the animatronics will finally be revealed.
According to a recent report, the Custom Night content may be the link between the lore of the vicious animatronics and the Japanese myth called "tsukomogami." The Japanese mythical creature are lost souls residing in non-living objects who are bound for revenge against the humanity. The only way for them to be killed off is by burning them to ashes.
This process may very well be expected in Custom Night. Speculations have already surfaced that Cawthon might be using this link in the DLC. Even so, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt as the creator did not confirm anything yet.
Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location Custom Night DLC: Things To Expect
As previously teased, Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location Custom Night DLC will center on Bonnie and Bidybab with a different gameplay mechanics. On top of that, many more animatronics are still expected to be introduced soon. In terms of challenges, Cawthon had been speculated to bring in a new empty room at Cirus Baby's Pizza World where players can teleport from one place to another using a spring trap suit.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location is available on Windows PC via Steam.
