It seems that "Ghost Rider" will have a spin-off as another Marvel TV series after its character appeared in several episodes of "Agents of Shields" season 4. Marvel's big wigs have confirmed that there are talks in this regard and that a spin-off series is confirmed.
Marvel Is Currently Developing Additional TV Series Based On Its Comic Books
Marvel is currently planning for more TV series lifted off from the characters of its iconic comic books. A number of these projects which have already been announced were "Cloak and Dagger" on Freeform, "The Runaways" on Hulu, "Damage Control on ABC and "The Punisher" on Netflix.
Gabriel Luna, the "Ghost Rider" actor, revealed to ComicBook.com that MCU is indeed planning to spin-off his Spirit of Vengeance character. However, the project could either be a movie or a TV series. "It's been talked about, there's definitely deals in place for that potential," said Luna.
"Agents Of Shield" Reinvigorated By The "Ghost Rider"
According to a report, the inclusion of the "Ghost Rider" has invigorated "Agents of Shield." Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) has first appeared as an anti-hero but was convinced to be part of the Shield agents because of some circumstances involving Daisy. The show revealed that he acquired his fire powers from a reincarnation of the Ghost Rider.
But it seems that the future of the Spirit of Vengeance is going beyond whatever assignments the "Agents of Shield" will have for him. "But I just take it one day at a time," he added. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well," Luna explained. He said he has really no preference whether his character will jump into the movies, on Netflix, or on its own TV series.
