When Soul meets Turbo, an exhilarating driving experience is sure to follow. The 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim has just been unveiled and it has something new for the consumers to look forward to. Some might even say the Soul may have just finally met its mate to give birth to a better than ever version of itself.

Turbocharged 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim

Driving reported that the new 2017 Kia Soul, which previously came with 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, is now equipped with a new 1.6-liter turbocharged engine capable of 201 horsepower and will now bear the added "Exclaim" moniker. The 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim will also be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Other Details To Look Forward To

Despite having more power which usually translates as more power-hungry, the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim has better fuel-efficiency. According to a report from Autoblog, the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim is capable of 28 miles per gallon on the highway. However, there were no other details given about the fuel efficiency rate of the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim in city driving and combined city and highway driving, though if one is to consider calculating the mileage on the average, it is safe to say that the result will come out with a decent number.

No Other Transmission Option?

Unfortunately, there is no manual transmission option for the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim. It was stated by a spokesperson from Kia that the reason for this is for better fuel economy and maximum performance of the vehicle. While others understand the reasons of the automaker, a clutch pedal is something a lot of other people have hoped for.

Price And Availability

While the American model for the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim has officially been unveiled, there are no details released yet regarding its availability in the market. As for the price, consumers should expect the new turbocharged model to be the most expensive so far.
