Fans of E.J. James' erotic novel adaptation have now something to look forward to. MPAA has finally given the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker," an R rating. While others feared that the movie will be tagged with the big NC-17 rating, it is safe to say that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's upcoming film has successfully dodged the dreaded rating.

The sexy spectacle that got everyone hooked and excited finally comes with the latest update. The film which is expected to have tons of explosive and sensual scenes was given an R-rating by MPAA for having strong language, erotic sexual content, and graphic nudity.

Fans who have not seen the "Fifty Shades Darker" trailer released in September are advised to check out Dornan and Johnson's fleeting romantic shots to get a picture of what is going to happen next.

The trailer showcases Anastasia Steele (Johnson) and Christian Grey (Dornan) having sensual fun in a steamy shower room. It also gives fans a thrilling anticipation of what the line, "This time, no rules, no punishments and no secrets" means. Shots of Steele's encounter with Grey's past acquaintances and lovers also indicate that something big is about to happen.

Some highlights that avid fans can look forward to in the new installment are Christian Grey's jealous ex-girlfriends. As per reports, viewers can expect to see new faces in the upcoming film as Kim Basinger and Bella Heathcote signed up early this year to play the roles of Elena and Leila.

Amid the rumors and speculations between the two lead actors in real life, "Fifty Shades" supporters will always be rooting for the Steele and Grey tandem. The much anticipated sequel "Fifty Shades Darker" will be hitting theaters on Feb. 10, 2017. As for the final installment, "Fifty Shades Freed" is slated to premiere on Feb. 9, 2018.
