Destiny: Rise of Iron is one of the games filled with mind-boggling puzzles and difficult raids that are sometimes the cause of frustrations for days. Forget about the stress and enjoy the puzzles with this 1000-level game.
King Lucas is an 8-bit game designed by Davide Ferriz and Laura Suarez, whose influences for the game include Prince of Persia, Castle of Illusion, and Asterix. Remember how you wasted hours and deeply immersed in the game minus the stress? It was just pure fun and that is the same feel the duo wanted to bring back when they designed King Lucas.
Inspired by the classics but using the present technology, the duo designed a game which has a shorter single player mode and a longer online multiplayer version. They further keep the schema used in Prince of Persia or Alex Kidd where the hero has to rescue a princess except that the narrative is non-linear, which means the player can choose different routes to reach the end and that is the reason why the game has 1,000 levels.
Moreover, the developers hand designed hundreds of rooms and combined them into a "different massive castle for each quest." They made sure that every element of the game - dangers, secret passages, tiles - are strategically located so that each player will have a different experience.
According to the developers, "King Lucas is a platformer where the important thing is to get yourself oriented in its massive castles." Thus, they included two important items to accomplish that goal: a compass and a crystal ball. The compass points players to their goal while the crystal ball tells the players how many rooms are there between them and it.
The game is still in its beta testing stage and the developers hope that when the game is out, it will bring back players to the time and feeling when playing the classics as kids.
