Microsoft's Surface Phone: What to expect
Surface Phone is expected to be the turning point of Windows-based smartphones that will basically ditch out the gigantic success achieved by Android and iOS. Furthermore, the 2017 flagship is anticipated to have the these features and potential specs: three new size variants, 8GB of RAM coupled with 512GB internal storage capacity, powered by Intel Kaby Lake, 20MP Carl Zeiss back camera, with fingerprint scanner embedded in an AMOLED screen display (1440 x 2560 resolution) which is similar to Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
Surface Phone is also fitted with Type C USB port for easy external connections and data transfers and a fingerprint sensor to provide extra security access according to some speculations. Moreover, rumors have been rounding up that Surface Phone will feature a physical design similar to iPhone 8 having bezel-less and curved-edge screen display. The phone is also expected to include support for Surface Pen akin to Samsung Stylus support in Galaxy series phones.
Microsoft's Surface Phone: Release Date
The release date of the Surface Phone 2016 is yet to be confirmed. Likewise, Microsoft executive Terry Myerson said that Windows phone was not the company's focus in 2016.
