The WWE seems to be hell bent on getting as much star power as they could when it comes to their events. These stars extend beyond pro wrestling with such appearances from Mr. T, Ronda Rousey, Sylvester Stallone, and a slew more of Hollywood celebrities. And to continue the tradition of having more stars from different worlds make WWE appearances, a rumored collaboration with Lebron James and Conor Mcgregor for Smackdown is in the works.
The rumor with NBA superstar, Lebron James, is quite surprising given the fact that he snubbed the legendary Undertaker during a Cavs game. The Undertaker, who is rumored to be in a legendary match with John Cena in Wrestlemania, waited for a long time for James who never showed up.
But James is a big wrestling fan and the WWE heads are not really known to put personal stuff ahead of good business. Getting Lebron to do something with his 6'8, 250-pound frame at Smackdown will do great ratings. If they have a chance to get King James, the WWE is sure to pull the trigger.
Another hot property that the WWE would love to feature is UFC star Conor McGregor. The brash Irish prizefighter is currently on a hot streak after becoming the UFC's first champion to simultaneously hold two belts in different divisions. McGregor is perfect for the WWE, with his strength at the mic and flashy fighting style.
Despite saying some unsavory things about pro wrestling, Triple H, who is one of the heads in WWE has this to say about a possible appearance by McGregor in the ring:
"He could come over, he's got it all, man - he's got the personality, the skills, the talk. He's an entertainer, for sure."
And since Conor McGregor has a big appetite for spending cash coupled with the news of him being a soon to be dad. The WWE might just get their wish and have the "Notorious" compete in the ring.
