There's no stopping DJI from dominating the drone industry. The company has been widely praised for its amazing drones for the past years and just recently, they revealed yet another drone to follow the DJI Mavic Pro. Dubbed as the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, this newly revealed drone is an updated version of the incredible DJI Phantom 4. The Phantom 4 has always been a popular choice for people who love intelligent and durable drones. Now, the company is giving people a more improved version of this well-loved drone.
DJI Phantom 4 Improvements
The DJI Phantom 4 is already a very intelligent drone. However, DJI isn't satisfied with that. The company made a new version of the Phantom 4 that is more intelligent than the original one. Technically, what DJI did is that they made the Phantom 4 Pro even safer from collisions than the Phantom 4. Its new FlightAutonomy system makes crashes virtually impossible to occur.
It's worth noting that FlightAutonomy system can practically make the drone navigate itself. It allows the Phantom 4 Pro to position itself and even decide on which routes to take to avoid obstacles. Techno Buffalo says that the new Phantom 4 Pro can avoid long ranges of obstacles in front and behind it.
The original Phantom 4 also boasts of its avoidance system. However its avoidance skill is limited to its front and sides. The Phantom 4 Pro on the other hand is not just able to detect things that are in front of it and beside it. The Pro drone can also feel things behind and underneath it. This drone can detect object of up to 100 feet away from its front and 23 feet away from its rear.
Furthermore, the DJI Phantom 4 Pro has an improved camera. It's got 20 megapixels and a better battery life. This drone is said to last up to 30-minutes of flying. It's also got an upgradeable controller with GPS and a microSD slot. As for the price, the Phantom 4 Pro is listed in DJI's site for $1499 for the Standard RC and $1799 for the RC with Screen version.
DJI 2016 Drones
As of now, the hottest names from DJI's drone collection includes the Phantom 4 Pro, the Mavic Pro and the Inspire 2 drone. The Mavic Pro sells at $999 and it is very popular among travel enthusiasts as this drone can fold up to an uber-compact form that's perfect for travel packing. The company has also announced the DJI Inspire 2 which attracts drone videographers more than anyone else. This drone that may seem like a splurge due to its $2999 to $6000 price range, is actually sort of worth it. This beast can record 5.2k videos and it can also fly for up to 67 mph. Its second camera is also its giant edge over its competitions.
Clearly, DJI is arguably unbeatable when it comes to drones. Sure, the company is facing criticisms for its failure to ship the Mavic Pro on time, but it just goes to show that the amount of orders the company received for their drone exceeds their expectation. This indicates that DJI is pretty much a top choice for people looking for a good drone.
