Apple AirPods was originally unveiled during Apple’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus event in September, with a release date of late October, then being delayed even further after Apple said it needed a little more time to make sure they are ready to sell it to customers. The company's new AirPods appear to take totally wireless earphones one step further than any competitor's accessory so far. But we can’t be too sure just yet because of the delayed release and late launch.
AirPods Will Be Available Next Month
According to CNET, the Czech retailer Alza currently has the AirPods available for preorder. The December ship was first noticed by Czech tech publication Letem Svetem Applem, giving us reason to expect a worldwide launch sometime next month. Even though Alza is an authorized Apple retailer, the AirPods are still unavailable in the Czech Apple Store.
While there is still no official announcement of exact release date, rumors suggest that December would make the AirPods available especially during the holiday season. Other headphones that take advantage of Apple's W1 chip, like the Beast Solo 3 and Beats Powerbeats 3, are on sale now.
As reported by TiP, another retailer earlier this month predicted that the AirPods could be shipping as soon as tomorrow. While a Chinese supply chain predicts that they won't be shipping until January 2017.
Unfortunately, it is ultimately up to Apple to tell retailers when they will be shipping the AirPods. For now, all we can do now is hope that they will be shipping soon.
AirPods Price On Release
If ever the AirPods will be on the market in December, it will go on sale for $159, that is £159 or AU$229, according to 9to5 Mac. AirPods work over Bluetooth and feature Apple’s new W1 chip for instant pairing with Apple devices and easy switching between iCloud devices.
