Tyranny is one of the few games that allows you to play evil. Conquest is the new mechanic featured as part of its gameplay. It allows you to select which character you would play in the last three years of Kyro's takeover of the Tiers. Here's a guide about Tyranny's new game mechanic Conquest and how important it is in the overall gameplay experience.
What Is Conquest In Tyranny?
Conquest will help you decide your beginning stats with the particular factions in the game. In the Conquest menu, you can customize your character and how you create it will govern how Tunon, Scarlet Chorus and Disfavored act towards you. Hence, it calls for wit and wisdom to create your character. However, note that Conquest is not something that you should be doing if you don't feel like it. You have the option to get past it and allow computer-generated settings to decide for you. Even so, it pays that you play through the Conquest system because it has a massive effect on your story as you go on.
How Does Conquest Operate?
Conquest is the same as you own adventure in many ways. Whatever choice you make here supports either the Scarlet Chorus or the Disfavored, or even go up against both of these factions. Conquest is subsdivided into three parts. The first part is created for you. This is the first year of Kyro's conquest of the Tiers. Once dominating this part, you will have your second and third choices. Here are choices which will determine how the Scarlet Chorus and the Disfavored feels towards you.
What Makes Conquest Important?
Even if players have the option not to play in Conquest mode, it is important that you still fill the choices here. How important it is? Conquest shapes the storyline of your character. You don't want your character untraceable, do you? Also, completing the Conquest mode will allow you to get to know more about your character through the factions, its origin and influences.
Tyranny is now available on Windows PC via Steam.
