Freeform has recently announced that the final season of "Pretty Little Liars" will be aired in 2017. The second half of its seventh season is also scheduled for release next year. Fans who have been waiting for the resumption of the show are in for more story twists in this final season.
Original Cast Of Characters Are Coming Back
Fans will be nostalgic since it was revealed that the original cast of "Pretty Little Liars" will be back for its final season. The old characters include Wren (Julian Morris), Sydney (Chloe Bridges), Charlotte (Vanessa Ray), Melissa (Torrey DeVitto), Paige (Lindsey Shaw), Jenna (Tammin Sursok), among others.
There is also a rumor that the show will have a wedding for one of the main characters. This will lead to a highly dramatic final episode. There will also be a one-hour special where the cast members will tell-it-all. The cast for this special will include I. Marlene King, the show's creator, Sasha Pieterse, Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, and Troian Bellisario.
Wrapping The Show Was An Intense Experience
The announcement of the "Pretty Little Liars" final season was made on the show's official Twitter page. It was announced that the first episode of the final season will run on April 18, 2017. A photo of the crew was captioned with: "THIS IS NOT A DRILL. April 18th 2017. #PLLEndGame." The photo showed the stars of the show including Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale.
Bellisario said in an interview with AOL that wrapping up "Pretty Little Liars" was "really intense." She plays Spencer Hastings in the show. Mitchell also posted a video as her goodbye to the show where she revealed her feelings about its final season.
"Sad, anxious, excited, terrified, inspired, gratified, nervous, unsure, proud, upset, accomplished, relieved, devastated, lucky: I didn't know it was possible to feel so much at once, yet I sit here with all my feelings," said Mitchell. "It feels like the last day of school with just an extra bit of emptiness," she added.
