PlayStation 4 Pro 4K TV Review: What Are The Best Available 4K TVs For Sony's Newest Console?

The PlayStation 4 Pro is better appreciated if used in tandem with a 4K television or display output. Some 4K TV brands however, are better than others.

LG 4K TV Suited For PlayStation 4 Pro

LG has various 4K TV sets that work fine with the PlayStation 4 Pro. The UH850V is an HDR TV with a screen size ranging from 49 to 65 inches. The selling price for this LG 4K TV starts at around $1000. The LG B6V has screen sizes that range from 55 to 65 inches with a price range of $2,500 up to $3700. The E6 series on the other hand, has 3D support which is probably a way to justify its $3700 to $5500 price range. All the mentioned LG series support the Dolby Vision and the Sony supported HDR10 protocol.

Panasonic 4K TV

The Panasonic DX700 is a decent 4K TV with a screen size that range from 40 to 58 inches and price ranging from $750 to $1,100. It is also the cheapest 4K TV among the Panasonic models. The DX750 however, is better than the 700 but a bit expensive. The DX750 has a screen size ranging from 50 to 65 inches and sells for around $1,100 to $2,000. The Panasonic DX902 is the most expensive of the bunch but its HDR image output and low input lag is a convincing incentive. It smallest screen size however, is only 55 inch while the maximum size is 65 inches. Retail price ranges from $2,300 to $3,000.

Samsung Choice: The KS7000

The Samsung KS7000 is not the high end model for gamers but offers decent gaming performance. The screen size ranges from 49 to 65 inches with a retail price ranging from $1,250 to $2,000.

Conclusion

Whatever 4K television you choose, make sure that it's HDR10 compatible since this is the protocol supported by Sony for its PlayStation 4 Pro. The 4K TV unit should also support the UHD format and must have the lowest input lag possible.
