Ninja Gaiden To Release A 2-Volume Soundtrack Album, Remastered With Original Hardware

Ninja Gaiden fans can now reminisce the old NES days by getting a CD or even better, a vinyl copy of its original soundtracks. Brave Wave Productions made known to all that they are currently working with Koei Tecmo to produce a couple of volumes for Ninja Gaiden, starting from its original 8-bit title. Ready your eager ears as they will hit the shelves by next year.

People are now working hard to bring you Ninja Gaiden: The Definitive Soundtrack, not just that, they will create Volumes 1 and 2. This is to celebrate the history of Ninja Gaiden that has been ongoing since its roots from the original NES series. The music will include tracks from the NES classic titles Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden II, and Ninja Gaiden III. Vol. 1 will comprise of the first title's soundtracks while Vol. 2 will cover the rest of the titles, WWG reports.

The tracks will sound legit

Brave Wave Production states that the 'legendary' soundtracks will be digitally recorded using the original hardware by its in-house restoration engineer, it will then be cleaned and remastered so that the sound will be as unspoiled as possible. Keiji Yamagishi will lead the production of the two volumes since he was the lead composer of the soundtracks back then. Yamagishi also created the sound driver for the game.

On top of that, the company said that Yamagishi also contributed on the two sequels following the original game. Assisting Yamagishi would be Ryuichi Nitta and Kaori Nakabai, main composers of Ninja Gaidens II and III respectively.

Awesome media format and packaging

It is also reported that the soundtracks will be rolled out both on CD and vinyl. Along with the media are art from the original games. Also included will be interviews and essays by Ray Barnholt, a game historian.

No release date is provided as of this writing but it is speculated to be out by 2017. You may sign up here so that you can be notified for a pre-order date. It is expected that these albums will be sold as fast as the NES Classic Edition so ultimate fans better be ready when it's okay to pre-purchase.
