Pokémon Sun and Moon has dozens of new awesome-looking Pokémon that are available to trainers on the island challenge, but as always, with Pokémon, there's always something of an element of mystery around how some of them might work, as well as in many cases how they also work. While playing the game for review, numerous players have noticed a lot of head-scratching features.
New Pokémon and how to evolve them
A lot of players and testers alike spent way too many hours wondering how they could possibly evolve their Pokémon from phase 1 to phase 2, which can be very frustrating, to say the least. But have no fear, though. This article will be dedicated to helping you out with some aspects of the game to get you started. Here is a compilation of some of the new Pokémon that evolve in Pokémon Sun & Moon, along with a brief explanation.
How to evolve Rowlet-to-Dartrix-to-Decidueye
Grass type starter Pokemon Rowlet will evolve into its secondary form at exactly level 17. It will then evolve once more into its final form Decidueye at level 34.
How to evolve Litten-to-Torracat-to-Incineroar
Much the same as every other starters, fire-type Litten evolves into the second form Torracat at level 17. It will grow into the massive-looking Incineroar at level 34.
How to evolve Popplio-to-Brionne-to-Primarina
Water type starter Popplio will evolve into its 2nd form in Brionne at level 17, and like the other starters will reach its final form, Primarina, at level 34.
How to evolve Rockruff-to-Lycanroc-to-Midday or Midnight Form
New rock puppy Rockruff evolves one of two ways depending on whatever version of the game you have. In Sun it'll evolve at level 25 and in the daytime into the Midday form of Lycanroc. In Pokémon Moon, it will also evolve at level 25, but at night and into the Midnight form of Lycanroc. The two are going to be version-exclusive.
