According to the Sun and Moon official website, "Pokémon grow stronger by raising their levels and increasing their base stats. However, their power is still affected by the individual strengths innate to each Pokémon. Now, with Hyper Training, Pokémon that have grown to Lv. 100 will be able to increase their individual strengths, which has never been possible before."
How To Hyper Train
For a Pokemon to go through Hyper Training, all you need are bottle caps. These are Pokemon Sun and Moon items that will allow you to max out a Pokemon's single stat IVs for battling other Pokemon. You can do hyper training at Hau'oli City Mall. Once you get Bottle Caps, bring them to Mr. Hyper, the man who enjoys collecting them. He can be found in Alola Region. He also does hyper training.
How To Get Bottle Caps
Magearna in Pokemon Sun and Moon also holds a Bottle Cap. Once you have this Steel/Type Fairy Bipedal Pokemon on your team, you can do the Hyper Training yourself.
Another way to get Bottle Caps for Hyper Training is to actually receive them as gifts. Try defeating trainers in Seafolk Village and Poni Gauntlet and they will give you Bottle Caps as rewards.
Pokemon Sun and Moon Bottle Caps can also be acquired through fishing so try to fish whenever you can; who knows? You might get a couple of essential items including Bottle Caps.
The best way to farm Bottle Caps in Pokemon Sun and Moon is go to Poke Pelago. However, you can't get Bottle Caps easily, you need to trade in Shards. To do this, send your Pokemon to Poke Pelago caves and it will bring back Shards. Once you have collected 30 Shards (same color), trade them for a Bottle Cap with an old man at the Festival Plaza.
