A new and easy one-click-root technique is now available for select Samsung based devices running on the Exynos processor. The root is available in app form for a much simpler way to root your Android device.
You may want to root your Android device to gain access to apps that are exclusive to Android apps and remove unnecessary apps from their device. Since phone manufacturers design each device exclusively for each cell phone carrier, additional branded apps are included on the device.
You may want to remove the extra "bloatware" apps, giving you more control of what is installed on your personal device. The app store features many cool apps that are designed specifically for rooted devices only like the maintenance and customization app, ROM Toolbox Pro. This app allows you to perform a full backup of your entire device, change the boot screen, install custom ROMs and customize your device to your liking.
The old fashioned way of rooting involved the use of Linux kernels, specific rooting software and a list of instructions. Experienced users have no issues following the directions for rooting, but for those new to rooting, it can be overwhelming. The new app, Framaroot offers an easy, one-click alternative for rooting. It is currently only available for Samsung devices that include an Exynos or Omap processor.
If you see your device listed below and you want to give the Framaroot app a try, download the apk file directly to your device and install it. The app was made possible using one of two exploits, so if the SAM exploit doesn't work, select FRODO. If it doesn't work on your device, it means that Samsung patched the kernel in whatever build you have. I can confirm that it works perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch -SPHD710, build FL24 running Android 4.0.4.
Download Framaroot here.
**Remember that rooting your device voids your warranty**
