BlackBerry's new Global Creative Director Alicia Keys announced the BlackBerry Keep Moving Project on Monday, Feb. 25. This is Keys' first project with the organization and is an interactive initiative that involves participation from fans. The 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, actress, author and humanitarian is rolling up her sleeves for her new involvement in the mobile industry.
Through the BlackBerry Keep Moving Hub, fans can submit personal photos of themselves to be used on her upcoming 'Set The World On Fire Tour' presented by BlackBerry. The fan pictures will be featured in a music video for Keys' song, "Hallelujah," which will be played on stage during her live concerts in each city.
The videos will be unique and customized for each stop on the tour, featuring images of fans in the individual cities. Keys' project is one of several projects initiated by BlackBerry that offer customers a connection with creative and inspiring individuals.
"I am so excited to continue the BlackBerry Keep Moving Project in such a cool way that creatively brings my 'fam' together," said Keys in a press release. "With their help, we're going to create a really amazing music video that will show the world what's possible when your imagination and BlackBerry's innovative platform collide."
The BlackBerry Keep Moving Projects engage BlackBerry customers in projects with artists, athletes, designers, filmmakers, musicians and writers. Neil Gaiman, author of The Sandman and Hollywood director Robert Rodriguez who directed From Dusk Til Dawn have signed up to participate in the new creative platform. Gaiman, Keys and Rodriguez are the first three "BlackBerry Collaborators" joining the platform, interacting with fans to form original content.
"Alicia is all about inspiring people through her music, her philanthropy and her other creative endeavors," said Frank Boulben, chief marketing officer at BlackBerry. "Her 'Set The World On Fire' tour is a great medium for connecting with fans and creating unprecedented experiences for people all around the world. This matches perfectly with BlackBerry's mission."
