There is a recent report that said this manga series has already reached more than 11.11 million printed copies. Undoubtedly, many fans around the world are following and enjoying this manga series.
The Creator Is Happy With His Success
Yuusuke Murata, the creator of "One Punch Man" will be happy with his success. It was Young Jump of Shueisha which reported on Thursday that the manga series has been printed more than 11, 110, 000 times. This series has adapted the original web manga with the same title.
It is now being published on the free spinoff website Tonari no Young Jump of Shueisha. This group will also publish the manga series' 12th volume on Dec. 12 in Japan. The original "One Punch Man" manga series is now being published digitally by Viz Media in the Weekly Shonen Jump anthology.
Viz Media has also recently released the ninth compiled volume of "One Punch Man" on Nov. 1. The first 12-episode anime adaptation of "One Punch Man" was aired in Japan on Oct. to Dec. 2015 by director Shingo Natsume with the help of Madhouse. It started the craze for the manga and the TV series which became popular around the world. A second season for the TV series has been given the green light by its creator.
After A Sales Slump, Manga Is Back
The sales of manga started to slide down in the late 2000s. Publishers and booksellers of manga comics claimed that the lack of bestsellers has caused the slump. Thankfully, new books have arrived and one of these leading comic books is "One Punch Man."
Last year, "One Punch Man" and "Tokyo Ghoul" which are both published by Viz Media, topped the graphic novel charts of BookScan. The two manga series were included in the top 20 sellers overall every month. This is a clear sign that additional new readers are reading and patronizing these series.
