Pokémon Sun & Moon Tips: Common Player Mistakes You Should Avoid In The Game By Now

Pokémon Sun and Moon players must be too engrossed engaging their pets in battles. As you might not know it, most players are making mistakes along the way. Here are common player mistakes you should avoid in the game by now.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Not Saving Your Game

One of the biggest downfalls of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon is the absence of "auto-save." There's no other way in these games to avoid leaving off your progress for nothing than to regularly save your game, most especially when the battery nears complete exhaustion. Prevent this common mistake by saving your game: press X button > choose Save Game option > press A button > press A button again to confirm.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Interchanging Attack And Special Attack

Battle is at the core of the gameplay of the games. It pays when players know how Attack differs from Special Attack stats and using them interchangeably is a huge mistake since they affect your performance in battles. Know that Attack gauges the damage of your Pokémon when using a physical contact against an enemy. On the other hand, Special Attack shows the damage you can inflict against the enemy without any physical contact.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Losing Rare Pokémon

Rare Pokémon are precious simply because it is rare. Losing such in battles might not be a big mistake, but you are letting go of a "rare" chance. Catching Abra, a Psychic Pokémon, is tricky to catch primarily because it can teleport. One false move and you'll lose it. Don't ever attempt to catch Abra the conventional way. There are two ways to do it. First, throwing an upgraded Pokéball, Great Ball in particular, increases your chances than the standard ball. Second is to use a Pokémon with Mean Look. Gastly has it since the early stage. Even so, have a couple of Pokéballs ready.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Keeping Below 5 Pokémon In Your Party

After catching Abra, do not make a mistake by putting it in your box. Remember to keep at least five Pokémon in your party, particularly those that can level up. After a battle, the key item Exp. Share can level up your Pokémon even if it doesn't fight. Place a low level Pokémon at the end of your party; you can use it anytime sooner.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Lack Of Diversity

You might be too obsessed with collecting a certain type of Pokémon, most especially the Legendary ones and you fail to diversify your Pokédex. Remember that it pays to have various types of Pokémon in different situations. Catch and trade are the way to go!
