The mid-season finale episode of the series ended with a great cliffhanger wherein Nate reveals that Wes has been dead before the fire. Thus, he has been murdered and finding out the identity of the killer will be the upcoming storyline for the second half of the season. There will be a series of flashbacks to that night, featuring the moments before Wes's death that will help in solving his case. In addition to his killer, another revelation when "How to Get Away with Murder" season three returns will be the identity of the father of Laurel's baby.
