It has been five months since we last heard of any news on Kojima Productions' still mysterious video game, Death Stranding. As we can recall, it was during the E3 2016 Conference last June that we all took glimpse of Hideo Kojima's up and coming project game. And everyone was awed, as aside from the trailer showcasing Norman Reedus (everyone's favorite The Walking Dead character) in all of his naked glory, the Death Stranding reveal trailer also boasted off its eerie atmosphere and stunning visuals that solidified Kojima as a genius storyteller.
After several months of waiting, we finally get to see Death Stranding updates on our news feed. According to Shinobi602 (the constantly right game news insider), the PlayStation 4 exclusive game will most likely be in the upcoming PlayStation Experience 2016 this Dec. 3 and 4. PSX will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center so to those want to go who are avid PlayStation fans, hurry up and grab some tickets before you'll miss out!
Additionally, Shinobi502 also mentioned that Kojima's Death Stranding game will not be utilizing the Sucker Punch engine responsible for inFamous: Second Son, contrary to what previous reports had said. The said engine used in Second Son (which by the way was dubbed as a "technical marvel") would somehow make a lot of sense for Death Stranding as it "can evidently render a vibrant and dense open world for an action game, all the while looking good". Anyway, the latest Death Stranding news from Shinobi502 somehow disproves the use of the same engine and PSX would be the perfect time to reveal more about this detail.
However, some are a bit worried when learning that Kojima would be developing a new engine as it was one of the biggest causes of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain delay. Let's just cross our fingers that this won't happen again, hoping the Metal Gear genius would be using an already pre-made engine for Death Stranding.
Death Stranding is an open world video game under Sony and will launch exclusively for the PS4. There has been no confirmed release date as of yet but boy, do check out the mesmerizing game trailer below.
