Batman fans rejoice as speculations on an Arkham game, or better yet a set of Arkham games have circulated around the internet today. It is said that Akrham Knight has sealed the series and there will be no more games about it for good. But the tides may turn as the rumor has surfaced today which also raised the fans' hype and now waiting for more juicy news.
According to WCCFTech, Rocksteady may have seemed to be done with the Arkham Series but there is still light at the end of the tunnel as they reported that Warner Bros may still let other devs handle the series in the near future. It appears a new Batman Arkham is in the works by a team that seems to have started developing the game.
The speculation came from a series of footages showing Warner Bros Montreal - the team who built Arkham Origins, who shows that they are currently expanding their DCU section in the interactive space. This is a short footage showing their current work that looks like an open world game. If you have reviewed the video from the source site, it's clear that there isn't any Batman Arkham game, despite its setting resembling the awesome series.
But then again, if a team like this one is still intact, there is still hope for another solo Batman game, not necessarily an Akrham game. Ben Affleck's movie is coming up so that should be a potential trigger for the board members to wake up the Bat. If there's a consolation, WCCFTech has confirmed that the rumored game Suicide Squad will feature Damien Wayne, Bruce's son.
There are no official statements about these rumored games but pretty sure an announcement for Suicide Squad will come out sooner or later. Keep it here and keep gaming.
