Since Pokemon Go has been released on both Android and iOS platforms, the game was running roughly with some experiencing constant app crashes, unstable servers, and minor glitches and bugs. Apparently, Niantic has successfully overcome those major issues present in the game. However, it was reported that the app has not been working properly in a couple of months already.
According to the report from Otakukart, some players have expressed their struggles on a Reddit forum called The Silph Road that their app have not been working properly since the introduction of Buddy Pokemon update back in September. Later it was discovered that the said issue has been occurring on the iOS users and for those who are playing the game on Android should be fine.
Based on the report, it is absolutely frustrating for the iOS users to experience this kind of issue since it occurs on a day-to-day basis. According to the complaints, the app requires to be restarted at least three times before it will start working properly. Some common known effect of this issue is that PokeStops and Gyms will not appear in the game, Sightings are being black and no Buddy Pokemon appearing at all.
Restarting the game multiple times will make the game work normally. However, it would be such a burden to constantly restart the game three to four times just to play the game. Apparently, it is unclear if the bug has occured to all iOS users but it happens to numerous trainers now. As a result, a huge number of complains, flooded the game's forum this week.
Meanwhile, considering that this bug happened long before, it is a bit mysterious that these trainers have not complained about anything earlier. Nonetheless, hopefully Niantic will attend to this issue and fix the bug as soon as possible since it seems like the number of complaints are too much to be ignored.
