Pokemon Sun And Moon Guide: Comprehensive Species Location Guide For Every Pokemon In The Alola Region – Part 1

There are plenty of Pokemon that you will find in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Right now, there are 802 Pokemon listed in the Pokedex with more to come as the game moves forward for trainers. Catching 'em all Pokemon might become too hard especially if you do not know the exact locations where you should look and what Pokemon to look for.

Not to worry, though. We compiled all species location for every Pokemon that you will find in the Alola region to help your Poke hunting in Pokemon Sun and Moon. We have Part 1 here for now where we will show you all Pokemon that you can have in Akala Island. Ready? Here we go:

Route 4

In Pokemon Sun and Moon, Route 4 is home to some very notable Pokemon. There is Eevee that can evolve into eight different Pokemon. Rattata, which has an Alolan form, can also be found there. Other Pokemon to watch out for are Igglybuff, Espeon, Happiny, Lillipup, Grubbin and Mudbray.

Route 5

On Route 5, you can find the Pokemon Caterpie, Diglett, Metapod, Butterfree, Bonsly and Sudowoodo. you can also find Magikarp, Wingull, Happiny, Finneon, Zubat and Lillipup. There is also Pikipek, Trumbeak, Grubbin, Crabrawler, Morelull, Fomantis and Bounsweet. In some cases, there might be conditions that you have to meet to locate and get these Pokemon in Akala Island in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Bounsweet, for example, can be found by trading a Lillipup to Kihei in the Pokemon Center found in Route 5. Finneon can be found on Route 5 while you ride on Lapras. Morelull and Happiny can be found at Route 5 but only at night.

Route 6

In Pokemon Sun and Moon, Route 6 of Akala Island has a few Pokemon available. The short list include Oricorio, Pikipek, Yungoos, Grubbin, Mudbray, Rattata, Eevee, Wingull and Lillipup. Some other Pokemon can also be located on Route 6 like Espeon, Happiny and Igllybuff but only during the day.

Route 7

The next location, Route 7, holds Diglett, Magikarp, Wingull, Finneon and Fletchling. An even fewer number of Pokemon compared to Route 5 and Route 6. You can also encounter Tentacool in this route while you ride Lapras.

Route 8

Route 8 holds one of the strongest Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon in the form of Salandit. You also get Rattata that has an Alolan form in the mix. Other Pokemon to catch when you go to this route are Magikarp, Chinchou, Finneon, Pikipek, Trumbeak, Yungoos and Crabrawler.

Route 9

In Route 9 of Pokemon Sun and Moon Akala Island, you will find Pokemon like Zubat, DIglett, Gastly, Magikarp and Wingull. Their number is quite limited but you get Diglett anyway so it's cool. You also get Gumshoos but only during the day.

Brooklet Hill

Brooklet Hill only has six total Pokemon to show you: Psyduck, Poliwag and Tentacool. Two Pokemon, Paras and Dewpider can only be seen during the day. Surskit can only be seen when you look for it at night.

Fishing Locations

There are plenty of fishing locations in Akala Island in Pokemon Sun and Moon where you will also find Pokemon. Fishing in Brooklet Hill will show you Alomomola and Goldeen. In Route 9, fishing will show you Luvdisc, Corsola and Mareanie. On the other hand, fishing in Paniola Town will show you Magikarp and Barboach. You can also fish in Hano Beach and find Chinchou.

Wela Volcano Park And Lush Jungle

Some of the best Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon like Salandit, Cubone, Magmar and Magby can be found in the Wela Volcano Park. The Lush Jungle, on the other hand, is home to Comfey and Leafeon. During daytime, you can also find Paras in the jungle and Morelull and Fomantis at night.

Hano Beach, Paniola Town and Paniola Ranch, Totem's Den

Hano Beach in Akala Island has three Pokemon available in Pokemon Sun and Moon. These are Tentacool, Wingull and Finneon. Paniola Town and Paniola Ranch have two each. Lilipup and Mudbray and Tauros and Miltank respectively. Totem's Den also has two Pokemon: Tentacool and Alomomola.
